Veronika Schuchter is currently a PhD student at the University of Innsbruck, and has been an associate member of the Postcolonial Studies Centre since 2014. She is resident at NTU in Autumn and Winter 2015. Her doctoral project investigates moments of stasis and transit in travel literature by contemporary women writers. She is particularly interested in feminist and postcolonial theory as well as literary modernism and contemporary women’s writing, and has organised several conferences, the most recent being Uncommon Wealths: Riches and Realities (2014). She is the student representative of EACLALS, steering group member of the Postgraduate Contemporary Women’s Writing Network (PG CWWN), and also coordinates the doctoral college in neuroscience at Innsbruck Medical University.
