Nottingham Refugee Week

Nottingham Refugee Week is an annual cultural festival and a nationwide initiative that seeks to celebrate the contribution of refugees to UK communities, to educate the general public about the issues faced by refugees, and to build positive connections across communities. It runs across multiple cultural venues throughout the city each June, and presents a series of events that articulate the value of culture as a tool for celebration, education and community cohesion. In 2016-17 and 2017-18, Dr Anna Ball, PSC Co-Director, has run the film screening programme for the festival, and a connected programme of discussion events. In 2017, the information and networking event for festival partners was hosted via the PSC at NTU.
